The committee is committed to contest the approval of this proposal as inappropriate in both scale and impact. The consequences to Haddington will be significant increasing its size by almost 25% with a significant effect on traffic and parking on a centre that is all ready over capacity.

The cost of fighting this proposal at the public enquiry will be significant and we need to raise between £5,000 and £8,000 to pay the fees of the expert witnesses required to support our arguments.

We have already appeared at the Haddington Community Council Craft Fair and raised some funding through the sale of donated items, generous donations and new memberships, however, more is needed. We will be advertising future events on the homepage of this web site and will be at the Community Council Craft Fairs in October and November as well as the Art Exhibition next month.

We are selling a limited edition (200) of signed prints of a watercolour of Gifford Church. The prints are £10.00 or £35.00 framed.
